Bastia is the second largest city in Corsica and it is the port of the island. You can get to various destinations when you arrive at Bastia via the many transportation modes that are available. You can travel by road or use the train that is operated by Corsica Railways, its station is located in the city center and links Bastia with Ajaccio and Calvi. You can also travel by sea through the port of Bastia. Passenger travel on shuttle buses to the train station from the airport a journey that takes about forty five minutes costing nine Euros. There are available bus services to other major towns also. For comfort you can also take a taxi to Bastia and it will cost your around 45 Euros.
The island's mountains and plains provides it with a variety of cuisine. Game meat from the popular wild boar, seafood and river fish like trout are just but some of the delicacies that you can get. There also is a variety of alcohol that ranges from brandy, red and white Corsican wine and the famous cap corse.
